Why doesn't the dishwasher turn off? This does not have to be a serious breakdown. But if the dishwasher can be stopped only by disconnecting from the mains, urgently need to look for the cause of the problem.
Users of Bosch, Electrolux and other brands may face a similar problem. What to do if the car does not stop, read the article.
Troubleshooting a dishwasher
You started the program in the car, but the washing does not stop even after the end of the cycle? First of all, eliminate a system failure - this sometimes happens. All that is needed:
- disconnect the PMM from power for 10-15 minutes;
- repeat the run and check the operation.
If the dishwasher continues to operate continuously, unplug it and start troubleshooting.
Inlet hose
The dishwasher is operating but does not turn off. Look: is there enough water pressure for normal operation of the dishwasher.
Check the location of the intake hose. If it is bent or transferred by a foreign object, water does not enter the system. Also, a clog becomes the cause of this situation. Disconnect the hose from the PMM body, rinse it under the pressure of water.
The case may be in the protection of Aquastop. Sometimes the Bosch system generates an E15 error. The sponge located in the inlet hose swells when water leaks and blocks access to the flow. If Aquastop has worked, you need to buy and install a new hose.
Consider the situation when the dishwasher hangs on the drain, while the pump hums and does not turn off. Several factors could have affected this.
Drain hose
Incorrect hose connection can lead to a siphon effect - the outflow of water back into the machine. Therefore, the pump is constantly working, trying to pump out water. What to do? Read the instructions carefully and make the correct connection of the machine:
- disconnect the hose from the machine body and from the drain;
- make sure its length is not more than 2 meters;
- Check the bend and height of the hose above the floor (not more than 45 cm).
Drain filter
Food debris and small debris clog the filter. Therefore, the technique may freeze on the drain. To resume the outflow of water, you need cleaning:
- pull the bottom basket out of the hopper;
- unscrew the filter in the pan;
- rinse under running water.
It is necessary to clean the filter twice a month.
Sewage blockage
The dishwasher is trying to drain the waste water, but nothing comes of it. It is necessary to disconnect the drain hose from the sewer, drain the water and clean the pipes with special tools.
To avoid such situations, it is recommended to connect the equipment through a siphon.
Drain pump
The principle of operation of the PMM is as follows: water rotates in the system thanks to the circulation pump. It is fed into the nozzles and flies out from there in jets. Flushing contaminants from the dishes, drains into the pan, gets into the filter and drain pump. To start the pump, the electronic module gives an impulse.
If the dishwasher freezes, buzzes and does not turn off, a problem has occurred:
- In the control module, in the wiring from the board to the pump.
- In the level sensor. Incorrect readings (excess water in the chamber) “make” the pump run endlessly.
- In the installation. If the machine is placed on an uneven surface, this may cause continuous operation.
- In the pump.
Be sure to check if the appliance is level. Bosch brand models can be installed with a slight slope of up to 10 degrees. Whereas the PMM "Electrolux" is quite capricious and should be located on a flat surface.
How to check the drain pump:
- open the chamber door;
- remove all baskets;
- disconnect the machine from communications;
- flip to the back wall;
- remove the bottom panel by unscrewing the screws around the perimeter;
- on the side, at the assembly of the circulation unit, there is a pump;
- measure the resistance of her contacts with a multimeter;
- disconnect wiring for replacement;
- unscrew the fixing screw, turn the part counterclockwise.
The new item is installed in the reverse order.
Why does the motor freeze
It happens that the technique freezes for 1 minute after turning on. The control panel does not respond to commands, the engine of the vehicle starts, but also freezes. The problem is in the board triac.
Triacs are located on the electronic board. Each of them is responsible for the operation of a particular node in the system. As a result of a short circuit or exposure to moisture, the elements of the board fail. As a result, the module cannot control the engine, heater, or other part.
Important! The master should repair the electronic board. But if you want, you can diagnose yourself.
Prepare the multimeter. Set the instrument to Voltmeter mode. Remove the module:
- disconnect the equipment from the network;
- open the door;
- unscrew the bolts from the inside of the door;
- close the door;
- disconnect the front panel;
- disconnect the wiring chips from the module (photograph the location).
Alternately apply the multimeter probes to the triacs. Found a defective item? Then remove it and take it to the store as a sample. It is important that the new part matches your PMM model exactly.
The element is fixed in place with a soldering iron. To perform such repairs, you need to be well versed in electronics and “make friends” with a soldering iron. We still recommend contacting a specialist.
